SETTING SUN OVER WATER MALA

The Setting Sun Over Water Mala came to being as a partial recreation of a previous piece, Sunset Over Water. I was inspired by this new stone I found for the guru, Red Muger Jasper. It is an amazing piece that shifts the light with its golden rays back and forth like the light of a setting sun reflecting on the water. I placed Honey Gold Tiger Eye at the top of the mala to represent the sun above with Mookaite and Kambaba Jasper as the Earth below and Larimar, the water beneath. The deep hues of the Garnet reminded me of the gorgeous color of the horizon before the sky turns to night. I am lucky enough to be treated to amazing sunsets from my own home on a regular basis and this mala reminds me to stop and look for the amazing displays of light in this world that are everywhere.

The Setting Sun Over Water Mala is made with 8 mm Honey Gold Tiger Eye, Mookaite Jasper, Kambaba Jasper, Garnet and Larimar in matrix beads totaling 108 in number. The guru is a beautiful Red Muger Jasper. Citrine markers are placed after the 27th positions in the Tibetan style in this piece to gently remind you where you are in your meditation and mantras as well as bring a natural flow to the piece. Gold Vermeil accents are used throughout. The mala is hand knotted by me and made with love, light and intention.
