SELENE - NEW MOON MALA

During the New Phase, the Moon travels with the Sun through the sky as it's companion, it's illuminated side facing away from us. Only during a Total Solar Eclipse, do we see the New Moon. This powerful phase is one of new beginnings and an important time to set new intentions. I felt drawn to making a mala this day, possibly as a new beginning as I feel the lifting of this cycle of Mercury Retrograde as it goes direct. It seemed an important moment to reassess and recharge. I crafted this mala and watched the Sun set, and then felt the invisible companion Moon accompanying the setting Sun. I envisioned the Young Moon that will appear in the next few days, the Waxing Crescent. This has always been my favorite phase. A sliver of hope and a filling pot of dreams. This is time time to watch our aspirations grow.

The Selene - New Moon Mala is a hand knotted Mala made with 8 mm genuine matte Selenite, Labradorite, faceted mystic coated Labradorite, matte Black Agate, and Hematite, beads totaling 108 in number. Clear Quartz markers are placed after the 27th positions in the Tibetan style in this piece to gently remind you where you are in your meditation and mantras as well as bring a natural flow to the piece.  The piece is hand knotted and finished with a beautiful elongated from lampwork glass bead. The tassel is custom blended cotton and rayon handmade by me and intentionally made smaller so as to give the elongated guru bead the effect of a longer tassel. It is beautiful worn. Made with love and intention for you.
