OWL IN MOONLIGHT MALA

The Owl In Moonlight Mala represents wisdom and deep insight. Owl Spirit teaches us to look closely in the darkness as their large eyes and keen senses can find and gather light and information in the night. Sometimes we are afraid to look in the shadows for fear of what lies there. However such shadow work is important to acknowledge all parts of us. Where there is light, there is our shadow. It doesn't go away with denial, but grows stronger. There is no wholeness without imperfection. This is what makes us human. The personal power that we gain from shadow work is finding the tools that we need to keep our emotional selves in check and to recognize all sides of ourselves. This is very nicely represented in this ancient Greek belief: "Athena, The Goddess of Wisdom, honored The Owl as her favorite among all creatures, and adopted it as a sacred and revered adviser. It was believed that a magical inner light gave owls their night vision. Athena, had a companion owl on her shoulder, which revealed unseen truths to her. The Owl had the ability to light up Athena’s blind side, enabling her to speak the whole truth, as opposed to only a half truth." As such, if we are open to Owl Medicine, then we are open to seeing the full truths in ourselves.

The Owl In Moonlight Mala is a hand knotted Mala made with 8 mm genuine Smoky Quartz, matte Amethyst, matte Tridacna Shell, Honey Gold Tiger's Eye, and Ametrine beads totaling 108 in number. Small Sandalwood markers are placed after the 27th positions in the Tibetan style in this piece to gently remind you where you are in your meditation and mantras as well as bring a natural flow to the piece.  The piece is hand knotted and finished with a carved bone Owl guru from Bali, Indonesia. The tassel is custom blended silk handmade by me. Made with love and intention for you.
