HELICONIA MALA

The Heliconia Mala was inspired by this beautiful guru and the equally beautiful heliconia plant. As I sat gazing out my window, my eyes fell upon the heliconia outside and I was struck by how the colors and shape of this piece reminded me of this tropical plant. It also reminded me of the changing colors of the sky, as implied by the name of this particular stone, at sunrise and sunset. Cuprite is known for its ability to soothe and relax as well as for its Root Chakra activation and grounding effects. This mala will bring that mood elevation one gets while being connected to the Earth and taking notice of the beauty around us.

The Heliconia Mala is made with 8 mm African Opal, faceted Red Carnelian, matte, Red Sardonyx, and Amazonite beads totaling 108 in number. Small 6 mm Golden Rutile Quartz markers are placed after the 27th positions in the Tibetan style in this piece to gently remind you where you are in your meditation and mantras as well as bring a natural flow to the piece. In addition there is a gorgeous barrel shaped Golden Rutilated Quartz lower convergence focal bead with a stunning Sonora Sunrise Cuprite guru. Gold Vermeil accents are used throughout. The mala is hand knotted by me and made with love, light and intention for you.
